Cancellation & Refund Policy

Appointment Deposit

To secure your notary appointment, a $15 deposit is required at the time of booking. This amount will be deducted from the total cost of your service. Once the deposit is paid, your appointment will be confirmed. If you have called us to book an appointment, please know that in case of no-show or cancellation less than 24 hours before the appointment time will result in an invoice in the amount of $15, payable immediately.

Cancellation Policy

If You Need to Cancel:

Let Us Know Early: Please inform us at least 24 hours before your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows us to offer your time slot to someone else.

No-Shows and Late Cancellations:

What Is a No-Show? If you don't show up for your appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, it’s considered a no-show.
Deposit Forfeiture: In case of a no-show or late cancellation, your deposit will be non-refundable. We understand things come up, so we'll send you a reminder about the missed appointment and allow you to reschedule once without additional charge.

Refund Policy

Refunds for Completed Services:

No Refunds After Completion: Once notary services are provided, refunds are generally not available because the work has been done. This applies to notarizations and any services completed.

Eligible Refunds:

Cancelling in Advance:

- If you cancel your appointment with at least 24 hours' notice, you will receive a refund of any payments made, except for the $15 deposit.

If We Cancel:

- If we have to cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances on our end, we will issue a full refund, including your deposit.

How to Request a Refund:

Request Timing: Please send your refund request to cancel@shahnotary.com at least 24 hours before your appointment time.
Refund Process: Refunds will be made to your original payment method. Please allow time for the refund to appear in your account, as it may vary depending on your bank's processing time.

Running Late? If you’re running late, please let us know as soon as possible. We’ll try our best to fit you in, but we might need to reschedule if you're too late.
